For lovers of sharks there are a few places in the world, whose names inspire gasps of awe. Guadalupe is one of those places. For a generation inspired by the movie "Jaws", the thought of spending time below water in the company of the ocean's top predator is a dream of epic proportions. Your dreams can come true in Guadalupe.

Visiting Guadalupe Island is all about cage diving with fearsome great white sharks. This adventure is for both divers and non-divers since both surface cages (air hoses) and submersible cages (scuba tanks) are in use. Fins are not necessary as you won't be doing much swimming around in the presence of great whites!

Diving Cruise Options

You do not need to be a diver capable of swimming miles against the current. You won't be covering much distance during your underwater experiences here. You do need to be happy in the cage environment and happy seeing enormous predators within touching distance!

Guadalupe liveaboards depart in the evening from San Diego in the USA or in the morning from Ensenada, Mexico. San Diego is connected throughout North America by United and US Airways, and with the UK via British Airways.Ensenada near Tijuana, is connected with AeroMexico from Los Angeles, New York and many other US cities, as well as international flights via Mexico City from London, Madrid and Paris. Most trips are for between 4 or 5 nights' duration. More information on: How to get to Mexico.

You can view which ports the various boats use on their trips in the 'Departures & Prices' section of each boat's webpage.
