Standing out from the Similan liveaboard charter crowd is the sleek sight of the Sampai Jumpa, a leisure yacht handcrafted from ironwood in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
With a maximum of 11 guests, this liveaboard offers a very different experience from many of the alternatives scuba diving around the Similan Islands. On the Sampai Jumpa you can experience cutting through the clear blue waters of the Andaman Sea stopping to dive some of Thailand's finest spots in small intimate groups.
Being a yacht, space may not be as plentiful as some of the larger purpose built liveaboards around but there are still many of the facilities you might expect. An open air dining area and sun deck with cooling sea breezes provide plenty of space and you can also enjoy use of the computer, books and games. Or when in full sail, stand on the bow and enjoy the purity of wind-powered propulsion.
There are 5 cabins on board all of which feature fans and roof hatches, meaning air conditioning is not missed. The cabins share 2 bathrooms.
Many languages are catered for including English, German, Chinese and Japanese, making the Sampai Jumpa a great option for a whole boat diving charter by a group of friends. So if you are looking for small groups and something a little out of the ordinary for your Similan liveaboard cruise then maybe the Sampai Jumpa is the one for you.
