MV Manta Queen 6 is a 25m Thailand liveaboard operating 4 night diving safaris to the Similan islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. With nitrox, 15 litre tanks and fresh water showers on the dive deck, this intimate liveaboard is a great value-for-money choice.

16 guests is the maximum on board, accommodated in 8 twin bed cabins. Meals are a chef-prepared affair enjoyed in the open air with every changing views of the Thai islands. The multi-lingual crew of 11 creates a warm atmosphere and plenty of 1-on-1 service on Manta Queen 6. You won’t get lost in the crowd on this liveaboard.

Guests socialise in the open air dining/saloon on the upper deck shaded from the tropical sun. It features TV, DVD player, movie library and often has music playing throughout the day. There is also a reading library of general interest plus diving related books and magazines, as well as some board games, cards and chess.

For those who want to work on their tan, you can stretch out on sun mats on the sundeck at the bow of the main deck.

Dive experience: If your last dive was more than 1 year ago and you have less than 50 dives, a scuba review is mandatory, and you cannot do this on this boat. You can enroll in the advanced course and then no scuba review is needed. If you have not dived in 2 years, then a scuba review is mandatory.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, hot drinks, return transfers to the boat from Khao Lak (only), dives (as detailed in the trips above), experienced English-speaking divemaster(s), (4-5 divers per DM), tanks, weights and weightbelts), torches, all taxes.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): 7% VAT on cruise price (to be paid in advance), dive equipment (full set US$ 44 per trip plus 7% VAT), dive insurance (can also be purchased on arrival at THB 250 per day plus 7% VAT), Similan and Surin park fee at approximately US$ 6 per day, with an entry fee of US$ 14. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival at the dive shop in Khao Lak (in cash and Thai Baht only).

Optional extras: Soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, nitrox fills for certified divers, dive computer, 15 litre tanks, 2 hour scuba review in a pool the day before the trip (US$ 70 plus 7% VAT), minibus transfer to the boat from Phuket and Phuket airport at scheduled times. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival at the dive shop in Khao Lak (in cash and Thai Baht only).

How to get there: Manta Queen 6 Similan dive safaris depart in the evening from Khao Lak. A minibus service is available for guests. Transfer from Phuket is at 11:30-15:30 hrs, and from Khao Lak at 16:00 hrs. Guests must check in at the boat’s Khao Lak dive centre between 16-18:00 hrs, and boarding commences at 19:00 hrs. The liveaboard leaves the pier later that evening for the Similan Islands. For more information see our Thailand travel information section. The last dive of the cruise will be at around 13:15 hrs on the last day, and the boat arrives back at the pier at 16:30 hrs.. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.

Non-diver rate: Approximately 5% off the published price.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 91% of the published price.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 6 guests and receive 1 extra space free of charge.

There are 8 Standard cabins on Manta Queen 6. They are all on the main deck and are feature twin bunk beds and small windows. There are 4 bathrooms on the main deck, each is shared by 2 cabins.

Menu, Cuisine Type...
The dining experience on board the Manta Queen 6 takes place in the shaded open-air dining area. Meals are enjoyed in the fresh air set against a backdrop of Similan island views. You can expect a mixture of Thai dishes and western cuisine. Meals are MSG free and they will make efforts to cater for all dining requirements.
