MV Le Mahe
The Le Mahé liveaboard was redesigned and lengthened in 2007, and now offers much more space for its 14 guests
on diving tours to the Similan Islands and beyond.
Length: 26 metres / 86 foot
Beam: 5 metres / 17 foot
Cruise: 13 knots
This boat is a great choice for the budget conscious diver who wants a Similan liveaboard with cabin facilities that you'd expect on much more expensive boats, such as private bathrooms
, double and twin bed options, and your own TV and mini bar
The upper deck saloon 'chill lounge' is a shaded peaceful area, where scuba divers can relax, watching a DVD or taking a nap. A computer is available for photo editing. There's also a large sundeck tanning area for sun worshippers. For a more convivial atmosphere, the dining area has a friendly service counter and coffee corner.
The European owners of Le Mahé, who have been diving in the Similans for many years, built the liveaboard in 2002 and are very proud of the service that they provide. They are usually on the trips themselves so you can be assured of great service and some amusing fishy tales over the evening meals. They know all the best dive sites in the Similan Islands area, including some that no one else knows and, because it's their boat, they are never afraid to try a new location if the chance arises.
