MY Pegasus is a long-established Egyptian liveaboard and operates mini southern Red Sea diving cruises of 3 nights duration from Marsa Alam. At a length of 27 metres and a beam of 6.5 metres, Pegasus is by no means a large liveaboard. However the maximum of 16 divers are accommodated comfortably in 8 twin-share cabins, sharing 3 bathrooms.

A complete refit in 2010 means Pegasus feels new as guests relax in the air-conditioned saloon complete with TV, DVD and music system. There is also a shaded open air area plus a sundeck for those who wish to work on their tans.

As one of the Emperor diving fleet, you can be sure of high service levels and the 7 crew members will do all they can to ensure a comfortable and fun liveaboard cruise experience. For those short on time or who wish to split their time between land and sea, a short Southern Red Sea diving cruise on MY Pegasus might be the perfect fit.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, water, soft drinks, hot drinks, dives, experienced English-speaking divemaster(s) for every 6 divers, tanks, weights and weightbelts, all permissions and harbour fees, return transfers from the local airport/hotel to the boat.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment (US$ 34 per day), dive insurance. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

Optional extras: Alcoholic drinks, torches.

How to get there: MY Pegasus cruises depart from Marsa Ghalib and return transfers are provided from nearby hotels/ Marsa Alam airport. There are direct 1.5 hour flights from Cairo to Marsa Alam (RMF) with Egypt Air. For more information see our travel information section for the Red Sea.

Non-diver rate: There is no discount available.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): Add 50% to the published pricefor your own cabin.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 9 guests and 1 extra person can join free of charge.

Whole boat charter rate (per night): Pay for 14 guests and 2 extra persons can join free of charge.

Or a visit to the museums of Cairo to see the royal mummies, the pyramids of Giza, and the Great Sphin? You can expect plenty of fresh food on your short liveaboard experience on Pegasus. 3 meals a day are served buffet style. Beers and wine are also available. Breakfast includes eggs cooked to order. Other specialties include grilled fish and ghoulash with cheese. For those with a sweet tooth, the chef is said to make some delightful chocolate choux pastries.
