The schedule includes northern Red Sea diving trips around the famous wrecks, as well as safaris to the southern areas. Up to 20 guests can be accommodated in 10 double or twin air-conditioned cabins all with en-suite bathrooms. The cabins, as with all of the interiors, feature well-maintained wooden flooring and wall panelling.
Guests can relax in the large air-conditioned saloon, complete with TV, DVD, music system and complimentary wifi internet, or in the open air on the top sun deck, or on the 2nd sun deck where there are many cooler, shaded areas. The spacious theme on board the Golden Dolphin II is continued on the dive deck which is a well-organised space, including individual gearing up areas as well as a charging station for your electronics.
Other points of interest include a well stocked marine library in a range of languages, piped music and a mini bar in the cabins. Nitrox is free of charge but must be ordered in advance. How to get there: The M/Y Golden Dolphin II liveaboard departs from Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Port Ghalib and Hamata; return transfers are included from nearby hotels and from Hurghada and Marsa Alam airports to the departure point. Check-in time is 18:00 hrs (boat departs next morning). Check-out is the morning of the last day at 10:00 (last night may be spent on board in the harbour or at a hotel depending on the itinerary). A day room can be arranged for arrival or departure day at an additional charge.
There are direct flights from Cairo to Hurghada (1 hour) and Marsa Alam (1.5 hours) via Egypt Air. From certain destinations in the UK and Europe it is possible to fly into Hurghada and Marsa Alam direct. For more details see our travel information section for the Red Sea.
The first and last nights of the trip are spent in the harbour. Guests arrive and board on the first day. The boat leaves the harbour on the morning of the second day. Full tourist visas for Egypt are available only at the airport for citizens of certain countries, unless obtained in advance. Please ensure you understand the tourist visa requirements that apply to you. The last dive of the trip will be at around 12 pm on the second last day of the trip. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 25% of the published price in low season and 40% in high and peak season.

Dining on the Golden Dolphin II begins with dinner on the day of check in, and throughout your trip you can be confident that fresh ingredients and a varied menu will keep you well fed and watered. The cuisine is a mix of international cookery and local Egyptian and Gulf specialties.
International cuisine is served along with Italian, BBQs and local Red Sea delicacies.
Main meals are buffet style with waitress assistance and comprise pre-breakfast, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
