Building on the success of the Island Safari I, comes one of the newest and most highly regarded additions to the Maldive Islands liveaboards scene, Island Safari 2. This sleek and spacious liveaboard yacht can comfortably accommodate 24 passengers and features many of the facilities that made its sister ship so popular with divers looking for the highest quality available in the mid-price bracket.

10 air-conditioned and spacious cabins all feature large en-suite bathrooms and the modern, classy interior décor that sets this boat apart from the rest. Indoor facilities include a lounge with TV, DVD, card and board games and a well stocked book library. Also well stocked is the boutique which sells items such as souvenirs, t-shirts and toiletries. Since 14 spaces are pre-booked by a Japanese travel agency, this means that every charter throughout the year are confirmed departures, so you need not worry that your trip will be cancelled due to insufficient bookings, even during the rainy season months.

The indoor dining area and bar are tastefully furnished and provide plenty of space for passengers. The kitchen turns out expansive and tasty buffet spreads with up to 10 dishes to choose from per sitting. For those who prefer to spend time outdoors, you can choose between the breezy, shaded air at the rear of the upper deck and the sundeck where there is more room for sunlovers to spread out on the sturdy wooden sun beds and catch some rays.

Diving at the Maldivian atolls is conducted from the attendant dhoni dive tender, as is normal in the Maldives and the liveaboard trip focuses on the Ari Atoll and the dive sites that you are most likely to encounter big marine life such as hammerhead sharks, whale sharks and manta rays. The Island Safari 2 goes a step further than most in making life easy for scuba divers, with a purpose-built dive platform at the rear of the dhoni and a camera room back on board the main boat for underwater camera preparation, charging strobes and batteries.

The Island Safari staff are also a very reliable and responsive crew that genuinely go out of their way to make sure all guests are as content as can be. Welcome additions to every Maldive Islands liveaboard cruise onboard Island Safari 2 are the island visit and beach BBQ evening that add variety to the daily routine.
