The MY Island Safari I can accommodate up to 20 divers in 9 cabins, consisting of 8 Deluxe cabins and 1 Suite. These Maldives liveaboard cruises follow no strict route but take you to the places where conditions are ideal for you to see the best diving in the Maldives at the time of your trip.

Each tour includes visits to islands and resorts as well as a beach BBQ, entertainment evenings and night fishing, and so are not strictly only 'Dive, Eat, Sleep' experiences. Non divers and those seeking a break from the underwater world can also try their hand sailing, windsurfing, or just enjoy the in-house entertainment.

All the rooms are air-conditioned, with a fridge and cabin to cabin telephones, and also feature quality fixtures and fittings and hot and cold en-suite bathroom facilities.

The liveaboard yacht's facilities include air conditioned saloon and bar with TV, DVD and music system, as well as traditional board games. You can dine indoors or out in the covered dining area, cooled by the sea-breeze.

Sun-lovers will enjoy the choice of sundecks, complete with sunchairs and matresses - 1 with tea and coffee making facilities, and the second being a larger sundeck on the upper deck for hardcore sunbathers seeking a little more privacy.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, evening tea, coffee and tea, dives (as detailed in the trips above), tanks, weights and weight belts, torches, experienced English-speaking divemaster(s), Maldivian bed tax and return transfers to the boat from Male Airport.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment, dive insurance. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

Optional extras: Alcoholic drinks, soft drinks. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

How to get there: The Island Safari I liveaboard cruise departs from the pier at Male International Airport. For more information see our How to Get to the Maldives section.

Non-diver rate: Deduct US$ 88 off the published price.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of US$ 350 of the published price.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Please refer to the whole boat charter prices above, equivalent to pay for 18 and 2 extra persons can join free of charge.

There are 8 Standard double and twin bed cabins and 1 Master double bed Suite, all at the same price and with en-suite private bathrooms. All the cabins are on the lower deck, except for 1 Standard cabin on the main deck and 1 on the upper deck.

The Island Safari I Maldives liveaboard cruises use an accompanying dhoni dive tender for carrying out the diving operations. The dhoni has an onboard a rinse tank for cameras and a rinse tank for diving equipment, as well as a toilet and shower room.

Menu, Cuisine Type...

Fresh and healthy ingredients, and stylish service are hallmarks of dining on the Island Safari I. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the spacious, wooden floored dining room on linen tablecloths with silver cutlery at 07.00, 12.30 and 19.30 hrs respectively.

You can expect a variety of European food such as pasta, salads and soup as well as Asian dishes and desserts with plenty of tropical fruits and local vegetables.
