Nautilus is an Ecuador liveaboard with a difference. Unlike other liveaboards in the Galapagos, Nautilus is a sailing vessel with short itineraries that focus on the central region of the archipelago and does not include the distant islands of Wolf and Darwin.

Guests fly into Baltra airport to be picked up by Nautilus staff before setting off on their Galapagos adventure. Week long itineraries include overnight stays on land in Puerto Ayora and Floreana, unlike other Galapagos diving safaris where every night is spent on board. The itinerary includes some of the sites that are visited by many liveaboards including Cousin's Rock and Gordon's Rock but also other dive sites more unique to this cruise such as Floreana, Enderby and Mosquera Norte.

Nautilus is a mono-hulled motor sailor of over 20m in length. With a maximum of 8 guests, it is perfect for groups or those who prefer a more intimate experience than the larger Galapagos liveaboards. You are also guaranteed being part of a small group when diving. Guests are accommodated in 4 twin share cabins, all on the lower deck. There is a saloon on the lower deck with TV, music and video system and you can enjoy your meals either in the dining area of the saloon or in the open air.

Sailing around the Galapagos is an experience you can enjoy on Nautilus and it will go under sail when conditions permit and the guests desire. On deck you can sit and chat with the captain at the wheel, catch some sunshine or simply enjoy the unforgettable scenery of the islands.

Customer reviews:

"The dives, food and other services provided by the staff at the Nautilus were excellent. We were very happy with each and every member of the crew at the boat. Therefore, we would rate the on-sea services as a 5 (Excellent).
However, we were not pleased with how Explorer Ventures handled the booking phase of the trip. The delays in them booking the local flights as well as the other smaller issues were not handled in a manner that we would expect from a first class service provider. Therefore, we rate the entire services as 4 (Very Good).
