Okeanos Aggressor - one of the professional Cocos Island liveaboards

Restored in 2010, you can expect every comfort on board as well as plenty of breath-taking dive action below the waves. Up to a maximum of 22 divers are accommodated in 10 en-suite cabins with personal TV and DVD players spread throughout the upper and lower decks. Facilities include a large air-conditioned saloon and restaurant on the main deck as well as plenty of deck space for soaking up the sun's rays. The lounge is equipped with internet, TV, DVD and music system which helps to pass the time during the crossings. For those that enjoy a glass or two after a day's diving, complimentary beer and wine are also included in the price of this Cocos Island liveaboard.

English and Spanish are both spoken on board, nitrox is available, and there is a rinse tank and table for cameras on the dive deck, plus a computer for image editing. Safety measures include personal EPIRBs for diving and an on-board defibrillator. The Okeanos Aggressor intends to provide a safe and professional environment in which to enjoy the amazing liveaboard diving destination of Cocos Island.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, soft drinks, hot drinks, local wine and beer, land tours, transfers to the boat from some hotels, dives (as detailed in the trips above), experienced English-speaking divemaster, tanks, weights, weightbelt.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory): Scuba equipment (US$ 260 for 10 night trips), dive computer, dive insurance, Cocos Island National Park fee (US$ 245 for 10 night trips - cash only), departure tax (US$ 26), US$ 30 charge for an Emergency Evacuation Plan. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (customers might provide their own where appropriate at no extra cost).

Optional extras: Nitrox fills for enriched air certified divers (US$ 150 for 10 night trips), torches. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

How to get there: Okeanos Aggressor I departs from Puntarenas. Guests fly into San Jose. Transfers to Puntarenas by the operator are from 2 hotels - The Holiday Inn-Escazuor and The Indigo. It is recommended that guests stay at one of these two hotels. You must have a one night stay in San Jose before departure to meet the transfer schedule. Note: Departure times vary according to the tides. You will be informed in advance of your pick-up time and the charter departure time. Book flights after 12:30 pm.

Non-diver rate: US$ 200 off the published price.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single traveller may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 65% of the normal published price.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 10 guests and receive 1 extra space free of charge in the Quad bed cabin. Whole boat charter rate equivalent to pay for 20 guests and receive 2 extra spaces free of charge in the Quad bed cabin. For trips starting between 6 Dec 2014 to 31 March 2015: pay for 6 guests in Deluxe cabin (at a special price: USD$ 4195) and receive 1 extra space free of charge in the Quad bed cabin. Or pay for 9 guests in Deluxe cabin and receive 2 extra spaces free of charge in the Quad bed cabin, Or pay for 19 guests in Deluxe cabin and receive 3 extra spaces free of charge in the Quad bed cabin.

Okeanos Aggressor has 10 cabins, all with private en-suite bathrooms. There are 9 Deluxe cabins with double beds and 1 extra bunk bed (for twin share), of which 3 are on the upper deck and 6 on the lower deck; and 1 Quad share cabin with twin beds on the lower deck.

Menu, cuisine type...
Meals on the Okeanos Aggressor consist of breakfast, cooked to order, a buffet lunch and a table-served, chef-prepared meal for dinner. To keep your taste-buds entertained there is also a succession of snacks between dives. Dietary requirements should be given in advance, but generally you can expect hot soups, homemade bread and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. The menu comprises essentially American cuisine with Central American influences. You can also expect a barbecue during your dive cruise.

  • Air-conditioned restaurant with both buffet and table served meals.
  • Meals consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in-between.

  • You may bring your own spirits on board.
