Santa Maria is a truly unique experience on Australia's Great Barrier Reef and offers something the big liveaboards simply can't - an intimate and exclusive diving experience combined with the thrills of sailing a gaff rigged schooner. If you're looking for a small-group liveaboard that is more than just a diving safari, then Santa Maria will be right for you.

Capable of accommodating no more than 10, guests aboard Santa Maria can go at their own pace, choosing to kick back and relax, or getting involved by helping to sail her. Either way the deck provides ample space for both. When it comes to diving, Santa Maria visits Cairns' Outer Barrier Reef, one small uncrowded excursion at a time. No tourist hordes, no thick "diver's soup", just you as part of small group, and reef.

This hardwood schooner, reminiscent of the 1800's, provide the basics for comfort. The saloon is fan-cooled and meals are enjoyed either here or, mostly, in the open on the deck. No big screens, Jacuzzis or multiple entertainment areas here. Instead, Santa Maria focuses on letting you enjoy the sailing experience as part of your unique Australian liveaboard diving cruise.
