There are itineraries of varying durations available: 2 night itineraries are for divers and non-divers which focus on surface cage diving. Itineraries of 3 and 4 nights also involve ocean floor cage dives, for certified divers. Swimming with seals is also usually part of each itinerary. 8 night itineraries in May involve some great white shark cage diving plus they coincide with Australian cuttlefish mating season and involve leafy and weedy sea dragons and sea lions!

Princess II is a 23m monohull motor vessel which accommodates up to 12 guests in comfort and with each cabin featuring ensuite bathrooms. There is a spacious air-conditioned lounge with bar where meals are served, and a sundeck where guests relax and chat about the amazing sights they have seen. The boat's unique feature is the submersible shark cage which can be lowered to the ocean floor with excited certified divers inside. All trips depart from and return to Port Lincoln, a 40 minute flight from Adelaide.

More Trip Details...

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, soft drinks, hot drinks, Australian wine with dinner, cage dives (as detailed in the trips above), tanks, hookah, weights and weightbelts, all port and park fees.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment rental (US$ 31 per day). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

Optional extras: Alcoholic drinks in addition to wine with dinner, transfers to the boat from the airport/hotel/port, torches, dive computer, dive insurance (see our insurance program for a competitive quotation). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

How to get there: The Neptune Islands are located in Spencer Gulf, South Australia. Both islands have large breeding colonies of protected New Zealand fur seals, which attract the great white sharks. There is also a colony of rare breeding Australian sea lions on the smaller North East Island.
Arrival/Boarding/Departure: Passengers should arrive at Princess II, North Quay Boulevard, Lincoln Cove Marina, Port Lincoln. You can get there by flying to Adelaide and then on to Port Lincoln. The following airlines offer direct international flights to Adelaide: Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand and Malaysian Airlines. There are also flights from all major Australian cities to Adelaide.
Qantas and Regional Express Airlines provide regular daily flights (45 minutes) from Adelaide to Port Lincoln. The alternative is a 7 hour drive or a 10 hour bus ride. From Port Lincoln Airport you take a taxi (AU$ 30) to Lincoln Cove Marina.
Diving environment: Water temperatures vary between 14-22°C / 57-72°F so make sure you arrange for exposure suits and accessories including the recommended 7 mm plush-lined warm wetsuit with hood, boots and gloves. You can expect visibility of over 20m both at the surface and on the ocean floor. The depths of the ocean floor cage vary but average 18m so you need at least your PADI Open Water certificate (or equivalent) to partake in these experiences. No certificate is needed for surface cage diving. The last dive of the trip will be at around 13:00 hrs on the last day of the trip. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.

Non-diver rate: Non-divers participating only in the surface cage diving - 20% discount from the published price. Non-divers who participate in no cage diving at all - 40% discount from the published price

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travellers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 70% of the normal published price for their own cabin.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 6 guests and 1 extra person can join the cruise in a Standard cabin free of charge (total 7 guests).

Whole boat charter rate (per night): There is no published whole boat charter price. Prices will vary depending on the composition of the group (bottom cage divers, surface cage divers and non-divers). Please check with us if you wish the charter the whole boat.
